How is dc better than marvel
Apart from Logan, no other movie of a Marvel superhero is good enough for an adult fan. They are soft, the storyline is not deep, and they barely scratch the surface when it comes to dark villains. Posters from Marvel movies are, well, boring! On the other hand, posters from DC movies are stirring and dark, like the franchise itself. From the Marvel posters, we get the feel of a family film which we should watch with kids.
And that is certainly not a compliment if you're a diehard superhero fan. Marvel is all about fighting against villains and saving the world. DC is much more than that. DC openly shows the struggles of superheroes. Remember 'Justice League'? Batman knew he was old now. Contrary to his popular belief, he accepted he can't work alone.
Remember 'Wonder Woman'? The movie was more about her internal struggle to stay home or to be set free in the outside world and less about defeating the villain. Batman vs. Spider-Man in terms of accessibility. My two favorite heroes before knowing anything about comics were Batman and Spider-Man. I watched these shows when I was little, and I loved both these characters.
Once I thought about getting into comics when I was older, I knew I wanted to read about these characters for sure. So where do I start with Batman? I have found there are plenty of places to start with Batman, and many of them are top tier stories because DC have given this character their best writers over and over again.
Where do I start with Spider-Man? Comics from the 60s? Michael Straczynski]'s run? I have found it very difficult to get into Spider-Man. Many of the runs I mentioned go on for a long time and large reading like that is daunting to someone new. My older brothers bought nothing but Marvel so growing up I just read [ I decided on my lunch break that I wanted to get back into comics and read something that was not familiar to me at all.
I wanted to dig deeper. I went to the a big box book store and decided to buy Showcase Presents: Green Lantern 1[ Read[ing] the old Green Lantern comics really gave me an appreciation for Geoff Johns's ability to weave years and years of storytelling into his books. It's so rich and interesting, covering decades of styles, politics, trends. It was like going back in time. I love that there are generations of super heroes - old, new, and young.
Nothing was wasted. A sense of legacy and community for these heroes. These guys are friends, and don't fight every other week. DC Comics shows more than the simple good vs evil; DC brings dark themes of hidden evils and corruption in people and society.
Writing with this theme for so long, it is hard to broaden their options, but there are some exceptions, such as Deadpool. Also, as the comic relief of Marvel, it is common for Deadpool to break logic by looking at the next page and talking to the readers. Yet with the rise of DC movies such as Wonder Woman and Justice League it is unclear who is going to be on top in the coming years.
Even if Marvel makes good movies, DC is far superior at making comics. So in the end, DC Comics is better then Marvel. October 20, Personalize that Proposal. Cancel reply.
