How can i become addicted to exercise

Touch base with people who give you a good reality check and honest feedback. If you are attentive, you will see it. Addiction mindset pulls our attention away from experiencing other things in life that can bring us excitement.

Find balance and trust that there will be more to life than just training. One more time: Meet with a professional if you think you might have an unhealthy relationship with exercise. But I believe that love comes from building what is called self-efficacy.

What this means is, love comes from getting good at something. I sure sucked at running at first. Or you advance to the higher level yoga class, discover you can lift more weight, can do all the moves in Pilates… These are the things that make you love it.

That major confidence boost from getting good at something makes you want to do it again and again. It can be a friend or a spouse or a group class. Did you know that people who exercise at home alone have the lowest adherence rates? Those who get out of the house with other people, conversely, are the ones most likely to stick with it, and there are lots of options for doing so.

If you want to become a runner, for example, joining a running clinic where you meet the same instructor and group of people regularly can be very motivating, especially if you bring a friend or spouse with you. The reason is simple: the day has not yet worn them down and provided them with excuses not to exercise.

We live in a very rural area so no easy access to gyms, and no swimming pool in our little town. If we can sell our current home, one of our priorities for another home will be proximity to a fitness center. My widowed mother, almost 69 years old, just joined a gym near her home. Her goal is to go every day to walk on their track and use the machines. She has had two kidney transplants and a full knee replacement, and is very much an inspiration to me! Yes just eating the right foods is still not enough, you may loose but not as much as eating well and moving besides you want to be hard not skinny and flabby right?

Hang in there Ivette! It sounds like you are doing a great job with your little family. You are in a hard, hard stage of life right now where you are too exhausted to even think about exercise. Many of us have been there. I agree with Amy! You can work on losing weight after you stop nursing. I love this post and am fluctuating between deciding that exercise would be good for me right and wondering if I still have adrenal fatigue.

Thank you for sharing that. I am not overweight and have 3 small children. I have been struggling with fatigue on and off for 16 years. I just took my temp today and it was I rarely feel like I got enough sleep, even after 9 hrs at night or a 3 hr nap. Is it best to wait until your average temp is If your adrenals are in such a poor state I would only do yoga, Pilates, swimming and walking at any pace. No high impact exercise at all. If you are not doing so already, I highly recommend daily bone broths and as much liver that you can eat in a week to begin the adrenal restoration process.

Has this impacted your temperature at all? Have you been counting calories? Are you trying to maintain the ratio with carbs and protein Matt Stone sets forth? Thanks for taking the time!
